Nubian

As you can probably tell these photos were taken way back when, during summer.
These pictures are sort of nostalgic because they make me reminisce about the summer.
On such a cold winter day as today, I'm really longing for when I can wear sleeveless maxi dresses again.

The print of this dress has an African and Nubian feel which I love.

The dress is worn with tan wedges and accessorised with a fringe clutch, my woven bangles and a watch that I received from my mom as a Christmas gift.

Enjoy your day lovelies!!

Vines and Lines

I have developed a love for all things maxi, especially maxi skirts.
They are so easy to wear and most importantly are totally comfortable.

I wore the skirt with a striped tank top and a statement necklace.
I'm also venturing into brightly coloured lipsticks and so far I'm loving it.

High Maroon

Sorry about the lack of posts lately...
I thought I would return with a really simple outfit I wore some time ago.

I thrifted these high waisted maroon trousers. Its not often that one purchases thrifted pants and they fit perfectly, so I consider these pants a lucky find.

I decided to keep the outfit really simple for an early dinner outing.
Please feel free to comment and follow.
Enjoy your day!

Pleasant Pleating

I have had this skirt since I was really young and have recently rediscovered it.

I love the pleating and combination of red and gold in the skirt.
I decided to pair the skirt with a simple black tank, my mini Chanel and strappy sandals.

Thanks for reading and feel free to comment.

Venom

I really love this snakeskin blazer, although I have gotten pretty strange looks whenever I have worn it.
I guess the print is a little unusual so people get a bit weirded out.
I love my blazer, strange looks and all.
HaHaHa!!

The blazer is a statement piece so I wore it with a simple black tank and black body-con skirt.
I accessorised with a link necklace, and my 'horn bracelet'.

Also worn with a vintage Pierre Cardin bag and black pumps.

Striking Stripes

Took these pictures on a gloomy, chilly day.
I wanted to go for a covered up look because of the weather.

This is my absolutely favourite handbag ,the Chanel Quilted bag which I had been lusting over for years and have now finally been able to obtain.

I wore a denim shirt which I buttoned all the way up. I think being covered up can be just as sexy as being wearing more revealing clothing.
I teamed my shirt with a striped sweater, a pleated skirt, tights and some booties.

Enjoy your Saturday!

Sunday Brunch

I went to lunch last Sunday and I chose this vibrant orange blazer as my inspiration.
Its so bright and beautiful.

Blazer worn with white tee, pipe leg skinny jeans and nude pumps.

I accessorised with a leopard print belt, my gold watch (which I adore), and assortment of colourful bracelets, my  coral ring and a tan leather bag.

There is nothing better than teaming a blazer, t-shirt and jeans. So simple yet so chic.

WhiteOut

When I found these denim cutoffs that my sister so skillfully cut I was immediately inspired to create a laid back yet chic ensemble.

I love denim shorts but I am not a fan of short shorts... I have always wanted really loose fitting and slightly oversized denim shorts and these did the trick.
They were formally my brother's pair of discarded denim pants but now have a place in my closet.

I paired the shorts with a white t-shirt and blazer.
I love these white kitten heel shoes. They were my first pair of high heeled shoes when I was much younger and I have realised that I really do love them.

I accessorised with my tribal inspired necklace, my gray clutch, white watch and diamante ring.

Please follow and feel free to leave comments.

Kala

I am hugely inspired by colour.
I made these collages to show some of the fashion items out there that I am loving.

From colour blocking, to bright and beautiful shoes all the way to exuberant nail colours are right up my ally.

Are you loving the infusion of bright colours at the moment??

The Neutral Wedge

I wanted to go for a neutral coloured outfit and decided to pair skinny jeans, a simple tank top and accent the outfit with brown hues; via the bag, my beige oversized knit waistcoat and of course my beloved wedges.

I've accessorised with my floral print wayfarers, a leopard print cuff and a simple gold chain and gold bracelet.

Thank you for reading.

Popping Up - Vintage Style

My good friend Yusrah had a Pop Up event for her collection of vintage and thrifted clothing known as Guard The Vintage.

Yusrah has a great eye for scoping out great pieces so it was really fun to check out the collection of clothing that she had on display at the event.

Small treats and yummy bites were on hand to sweeten up the afternoon.

I wore a simple strapless dress with embellished with floral prints.
This dress is perfect for summery days when I want to look dressed up but not too fancy.

I've accessorised with my orange bangle and a gold cuff.

I'm wearing my much beloved wedges and my tan leather bag.

The hostess with the mostest, Yusrah herself.

It was a really enjoyable day and I hope to have one like it again soon.
